Getting things sorted out

I haven't felt like blogging - which kind of shows how out of control things have been. But things are now on an upswing.

I finally got a date for my admission - June 7th. So I am now on a reduced iodine diet and next Tuesday I stop taking my T3 tablets. I am not looking forward to that cos I will feel crap. But on the plus side I suddenly got motivated a couple of days ago and realised I needed to start taking responsibility for my weight and not try to pass it off as being thyroid related. I posted on FB about it and got lots of support.

This was partly motivated by a hypnotherapy session I did with Chalkie for weight loss. He was so leased with how well that worked session worked for his insomnia - he hasn't had any since - he asked if hypnotherapy could work for weight loss. One of the strategies I suggested for him was taking any opportunity to just move about at any opportunity. Basically I decided I had to practice what I preach. So I got on the wii fit and actually did a body test. It only showed a 1lb weight gain over the last 4 months . That was much better than I expected. And somehow that just gave me boost. I have been drinking more water and making healthier food choices. The fact that I have pted to cut out cheese and yoghurt to reduce my dairy intake for my reduced iodine diet isn't going to hurt either.

Away from weight and health issues I am now giving reiki at the hospice and loving it. I now have a goal for completion of my HPD portfolio. I am going to get it ready for first submission (1/3 complete) before I go into hospital. And I have discovered I can practice without the HPD. Once I have done my four cases I will get a diploma from Nicks college and I can then charge for my services!!

I have even been meditating much more regularly. And I have done some really good card readings - mostly unpaid sadly. But we did have some good paid readings at the street party on April 29th.

This morning instead of doing step aerobics I did step plus followed by one of the wii fit routines. I did jogging, rhythm boxing and lunge. I have had one weetabix with some dried fruit and a bit of milk for breakfast, 2 cups of tea (one decaff) and of course water with my tablets. I am about to go and meditate then shower and go to the hospice.

I don't know what has chnaged - but I know something has and I intend to make the most of it
